The EU Delegation to BiH and the EU Info Center organized an open-air event in Jajce to mark Europe Day, May 9.
Visitors were able to enjoy traditional meals from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Hungary, Italy, Poland and many other European Union Member States, prepared jointly by the staff of embassies and culinary school students from the entire country.
Two celebrity chefs from Romania and Italy also participated in this non-competitive cooking show, while a number of young performers, dance groups, and cultural-artistic associations participated in the entertainment part of the program.
Head of the EUD and EU Special Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina Lars-Gunnar Wigemark said that it was very important to celebrate diversity.
According to media reports, Wigemark expressed hope that country’s membership in the EU would help everyone see the riches of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
“Our cultural heritage, nature and protection of environment and everything we own, is the essence of the EU”, concluded Wigemark.
