Deputy Chairman of BiH Council of Ministers and Minister of Finance and Treasury of BiH Vjekoslav Bevanda met on Monday with Head of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Mission Nadeem Ilahi, who is paying a visit to BiH.

The officials concluded it was good that basic conditions for continuation of arrangement with the IMF have been met and that BiH received the second installment of the IMF's loan. They also stressed it was necessary to continue implementation of reforms, in order to meet requirements from the Letter of Intent.
Bevanda informed the IMF's official about process of changes to the Law on Deposit Insurance of BiH, which was temporarily withdrawn from parliamentary procedure.

Minister Bevanda and Ilahi agreed it was necessary to implement the planned reforms, because all activities are taking place in the year of elections, which proved to be less efficient. It was also emphasized that every level of authority should work within scope of their competences on taken obligations, and that it is necessary to continue savings and restrictions in employment, as prescribed by the 2018 budget.
