Greece’s largest airline, Aegean Airlines, is planning to introduce flights between Athens and Sarajevo.
Aegean Airlines will maintain two weekly services between the two capitals as of June 13, 2019, with flights to operate each Thursday and Saturday with the 78-seat Dash 8-Q400 turboprop aircraft, owned by its subsidiary company, Olympic Air.
Sarajevo will become the airline’s seventh destination in the countries of the former Yugoslavia. Aegean Airlines currently serves Belgrade and Zagreb on a year-round basis, and Dubrovnik, Split, Zadar, and Podgorica during the summer.
This will be the first time that Greek and Bosnian capitals are connected with direct flights. Tickets are already on sale.
