Covic with ambassadors Cormack and Wigemark: It is necessary to strive for solutions that improve European perspective of BiH

Chairman of the Presidency of BiH Dragan Covic met with US Ambassador to BiH Maureen Cormack and EU Special Representative in BiH Lars-Gunnar Wigemark on Tuesday. Topics of the meeting included the political situation in BiH and state of reforms.

According to a statement issued by the Presidency of BiH, focus of the meeting was on necessary changes to the Law on Elections of BiH, which require efficient solutions, in line with the European standards and relevant decisions of the Constitutional Court of BiH. According to the statement, this refers to way of election of members of the Presidency of BiH and delegates to the FBiH House of Peoples, organization of elections in the City of Mostar and implementation of several international recommendations aimed at improving the election process. Chairman Covic stressed it is necessary to strive for solutions that improve European perspective of BiH and guarantee full equality of all constituent peoples.
