The capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina has officially joined the network of the world’s leading hop-on hop-off bus tour operator globally known under the brand City Sightseeing.
The number of tourists in Sarajevo keeps increasing, and so does the demand for an improved tourist offer.
Combined with the city’s vast cultural heritage and growing interest of tourists to discover all Sarajevo has to offer, this year the popular bus tour operator comes right in time to provide the best of both worlds - an opportunity to see Sarajevo and its tourist attractions from the comfort of a modern, well-equipped bus.
All of the buses are equipped with audio-visual tourist information in 19 languages, and educated crew members are at the passengers’ service for additional clarifications.
The City Sightseeing bus operates on a standard route between Ilidza (plateau in front of ‘Hills’ hotel) and the Sarajevo City Hall. This route includes a total of 21 bus stations and it is possible to hop on, as well as to hop off the bus at any of these stations. A map of stations and all details about the timetable, the tickets, as well as the tourist attractions located along the route can be obtained at the company’s office in Sarajevo, located in the street Kracula 2 (across the City Hall).
Owner and CEO of the City Sightseeing operator for Bosnia and Herzegovina ‘City Tour’ Mensur Peljto announced a plan to expand the current standard route of the City Sightseeing bus onto three more lines - all including the current route, plus new stations: a line driving to the cable car for Mount Trebevic, a line towards the viewpoint Zmajevac passing by the Yellow and the White Bastion, and a line towards the Sarajevo War Tunnel in Butmir.
Peljto explained that he established the ‘City Tour’ with the help of the City Sightseeing official partners Hamdan Zakarya, Robert Maros, and Marika Strack.
“We believe that this project will be very successful, and we want to promote it in the best possible way so that people visiting Sarajevo will quickly have all the necessary information about the City Sightseeing, even immediately upon their arrival at the airport”, Peljto emphasized.
He also noted that a walking tour through old town in Sarajevo, with a qualified guide, is available within this sightseeing service.
