Ragnhild Haga of Norway wins gold in 10-kilometer freestyle event, Bosnia’s Karisik finishes in 65th place

Norway’s Ragnhild Haga put in a dominant performance to claim gold in the women’s 10-kilometre individual cross-country race at the 23rd Olympic Winter Games in PyeongChang. 

The 27-year-old finished the race in 25 minutes and 0.5 seconds, beating three-time Olympic gold medalist Charlotte Kalla into the silver-medal position by over 20 seconds.

Haga’s teammate, 37-year-old Marit Bjorgen and Krista Parmakoski of Finland finished tied for third to earn bronze medals.

Cross-country skier from Bosnia and Herzegovina Tanja Karisik finished in 65th place out of 90 participants, four minutes and 23.8 seconds behind the leader.
