National ice hockey team of Bosnia and Herzegovina failed to qualify for the IIHF World Championship Division III tournament in 2019.

After winning their opening two games at the IIHF World Championship Division III qualification tournament in Sarajevo, Brian Jokat’s team lost 13-3 to pre-tournament favorites Turkmenistan, despite being 3-1 up at the end of the first period.

However, Turkmenistan - making their debut in the World Championships - responded with five unanswered goals in the second period, and added another seven in the final period of the game to secure promotion to the 2019 Division III.

Edis Pribisic of Bosnia and Herzegovina has been selected best goaltender of the tournament, while Turkmenistan’s Dmitriy Savin and Ahmet Gurbanov have been selected best defenseman and forward respectively.
