Under-17 national football team of Bosnia and Herzegovina has qualified for the 2018 UEFA European Under-17 Championship final tournament in England.

Zoran Erbez’s outfit was drawn in the Elite Round qualifying group 6, together with 2015 champions France, hosts Austria and Denmark.

After losing the first match against France (0-3), Bosnia and Herzegovina defeated both Austria (3-1) and Denmark (1-0) to finish top of the group on better head-to-head record.

Denmark qualified for the final tournament as well. France’s last-round victory against Austria would have seen Les Bleus progressing to the next round, but Patrick Gonfalone’s team only managed a goalless draw, with Yann Gboho missing a penalty in the 22nd minute of the game.

The 2018 UEFA European Under-17 Championship final tournament will take place in England on May 4-20. Matches will be played in Rotherham, Chesterfield, Walsall, Burton, and Loughborough.

Bosnia and Herzegovina Under-17 team has qualified for the final tournament for the third consecutive time.

In each of previous two appearances - two years ago in Azerbaijan and last year in Croatia - BiH recorded one victory and two defeats and failed to make it to the quarter-finals.
