Concert ‘Sounds of Friendship - Bosnia and Herzegovina 2019’ will take place at the Bosnian Cultural Center in Sarajevo on Monday, June 3.

Young and talented musicians of the World Youth Orchestra coming from all over the world and the Youth Orchestra of Bosnia and Herzegovina will perform the Symphony No. 9 in D minor by Ludwig van Beethoven in the honor of Europe, and as a symbolic support for the European integration process of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

They will be accompanied on stage by members of the Opera Choir of the National Theater in Sarajevo.

The concert, which is scheduled to commence at 1800 hrs, is organized by the Italian Embassy to Bosnia and Herzegovina, in cooperation with the Bosnian Cultural Center. Entrance is free of charge.

The World Youth Orchestra was founded in 2001 by Damiano Giuranna. In July 2002, the Orchestra was appointed UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, and in 2003 it received the Medal and Silver Plaque of the President of the Italian Republic.
