German Embassy to Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Goethe Institute have organized program to mark the 30th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall.

Movies will be screened in the Meeting Point Cinema in Sarajevo, 13 Hamdije Kresevljakovica Street, each Tuesday at 2000 hrs.

The 1966 comedy/drama ‘Spur der Steine’ (‘Trace of Stones’) by Frank Beyer will be screened tonight, and will be followed by screening of ‘Sonnenallee’ (‘Sun Alley’) by Leander Haußmann on December 3.

Based on the eponymous novel by Erik Neutsch, ‘Trace of Stones’ tells the story of a group of workers at a fictional petrochemical plant, and their blatant disregard for authority.

The film also includes a love triangle against the backdrop of Socialist Party politics and the pressure of completing the construction of the plant on time.

After its release, the film was shown only for a few days, before being shelved due to conflicts with the Socialist Unity Party, the ruling communist party in the former German Democratic Republic.

Entry is free of charge.
