German Embassy to Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Goethe Institute have organized program to mark the 30th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall.
Movies were screened in the Meeting Point Cinema in Sarajevo, 13 Hamdije Kresevljakovica Street, each Tuesday at 2000 hrs.
The program will end tonight with the screening of the 1999 comedy/drama ‘Sonnenallee’ (‘Sun Alley’) by Leander Haußmann.
‘Sun Alley’ is a film about the life in East Berlin in the late 1970s, and especially about the importance of pop-art and banned pop music for the youth of then divided city.
The Sonnenallee is an actual street in Berlin that was intersected by the border between East and West during the time of the Berlin Wall, although it bears little resemblance to the film set.
Entry to the screening is free of charge.
