The Mostar Symphony Orchestra, with the help from musicians from all over Bosnia and Herzegovina and neighboring countries - including Belgrade, Zagreb, Split, and Dubrovnik - will hold a concert in the big hall of the ‘Herceg Stjepan Kosaca’ community center on Monday, January 20, at 19:00 hrs.
The 52-strong orchestra will try to re-create Vienna-like atmosphere in Mostar, playing classics such as ‘The Bat’ overture, marches, waltzes and polkas composed by the Strauss family.
Composition ‘Typewriter’, performed on a typewriter by timpanist Dario Kos, will be the highlight of the concert.
Soprano Ivana Duvnjak from Zagreb will be the solo artist.
Tickets for the concert can be purchased in ‘Herceg Stjepan Kosaca’ community center every workday between 1300 and 2000 hrs. Ticket prices are set at BAM 10 and BAM 15.
