The event, scheduled to kick off on May 29 on YouTube, will include programing curated by representatives of the majority of biggest film festivals around the globe, with Sarajevo Film Festival being among them.
The official lineup of movies to be streamed during the event will be announced at a later date. Press release sent by the organizers claims that ‘We Are One’ will feature both new and classic movies.
Participating festivals include Sarajevo, Berlin, Cannes, Guadalajara, Macao, Jerusalem, Mumbai, Karlovy Vary, London, Locarno, Marrakech, New York, San Sebastian, Sundance, Sydney, Tokyo, Toronto, Tribeca, Venice, and the Annecy animation festival.
All programming will be free for audiences to stream. Donations will benefit the World Health Organization’s COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund, as well as local relief providers in various parts of the world.
This year’s 26th Sarajevo Film Festival is scheduled to take place on August 14-21.
