Youth performance ‘The Freedom Collection’ will be presented in Sarajevo War Theatre (Sarajevski ratni teatar - SARTR) on August 21st at 1900 hrs.
The play deals in issue of misunderstanding of the idea and value of human rights in pre-pandemic life, as well as specific social context such were recent quarantine restrictions, ‘The Freedom Collection’ evaluates the image of freedom through forms of theatre work with the young people.
Performance ‘The Freedom Collection’ is a result of cooperation between SARTR and Associati0on ‘Apart Teatar’ and it aims to initiate the dialogue through moderated artistic statements. Independent organization ‘Endowment for Democracy’ supported the performance and it uses four words FREEDOM, EQUALITY, JUSTICE AND PEACE to research these concepts through basic theatre forms: movement, dancing, language and physical theatre.
After the premier in Sarajevo, the performance will be staged in Trebinje, Kakanj, Konjic and Zenica. Entrance is free of charge and number of seats is limited and it is necessary to make reservation of the seat via message to SARTR’s Facebook page. Director, participants and audience will participate in a discussion after the play.
