Damir Imamovic's latest album 'Singer of Tales' has been declared the best European album in 2019-2020 season by the Transglobal World Music Chart. The sevdah artist’s album is currently at No. 6 on the Top 100 chart of best world music albums.

'Singer of Tales' was released in April 2020 by London-based 'Wrasse Records'. It was produced by Joe Boyd and Andrea Goertler. Inspired by the Albert Lord's book 'Singer of Tales', the album celebrates sevdah music as a way to tell tales.

The world tour planned to promote the album had to be cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic, but the album has been a great success among critics and fans alike. The album also won the award of Germany's National Association of Critics as best traditional music album.

Imamovic announced that he will start paying concerts again as the situation with coronavirus pandemic improves.
