The young painter and sculptor Adis Lukac opened his new show in the History Museum in Sarajevo on Tuesday evening.
The exhibition entitled 'Us: Caryatids and Atlantes' showcases 22 paintings and two sculptures, all portraits, and most of them depicting women.
The artists explained that he was inspired by Greek sculpted figures serving as an architectural support in ancient temples to depict modern women and men who often have to carry great burden of everyday life.
The show will remain on display until September 29. All proceeds from the tickets will be donated to the History Museum. Tickets cost BAM 7 and can be purchased at the Museum.
