Women’s national football team of Bosnia and Herzegovina defeated Malta 2-0 in the second round of the UEFA Women’s Euro 2021 qualifying group B.  

Samira Hurem’s outfit took the lead in the 72nd minute through Milena Nikolic, and then secured the victory with a goal scored by Merjema Medic eight minutes later.

Three teams - Denmark, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Italy - lead the qualifying group B with six points each from two games, while Israel, Georgia and Malta have not won a single point thus far.

Bosnia and Herzegovina will take on group favorites Denmark in Viborg when qualifications resume on October 4.

The 2021 UEFA Women's Championship will be held in England between July 11 and August 1, 2021, with the final to take place at the Wembley Stadium.

With the hosts England qualifying automatically, a total of 47 UEFA nations have entered the qualifying competition to determine the remaining 15 spots in the final tournament.

The teams were drawn into nine qualifying groups; the nine group winners and the three best runners-up qualify directly for the final tournament, while the remaining six runners-up advance to the play-offs.
