Bosnian tennis player Damir Dzumhur climbed six places to No. 97 in the ATP rankings following his defeat in the finals of the ATP Challenger Series tournament in Bratislava.

Dzumhur defeated three-times tournament winner Lukas Lacko, 20-year-old Finnish prospect Emil Ruusuvuori, world No. 67 Mikhail Kukushkin, and Zdenek Kolar of Czech Republic en route to the finals of the Peugeot Slovak Open 2019.

And even though he lost the final match in straight sets to Austria’s Dennis Novak, four victories were enough for the 27-year-old Bosnian to restore his place among the world’s best 100 players.

Dzumhur’s highest-ever rank was No. 23, which he held for three weeks, between July 2 and July 23, 2018.
