Newly-appointed European Parliament Standing Rapporteur for Bosnia and Herzegovina, Portuguese MEP Paulo Rangel, said that cooperation between the European Union and BiH should have been a priority for the European bloc.

Rangel explained that the EU should have cooperated with Bosnia and Herzegovina, not just by providing financial assistance to deal with the refugee crisis in Bihac and other migrant reception centers, but also by providing expertise and human resources - with the ultimate goal of helping authorities at all levels in the country.

I have to say something - the EU is not complete without Bosnia and Herzegovina”, Rangel said in an interview for europeanwesternbalkans.com.

Rangel was re-appointed as the European People’s Party Vice-President during the last week’s EPP Congress in Zagreb.
