National handball team of Bosnia and Herzegovina has lost their opening two matches at the 2020 EHF European Men’s Handball Championship in Austria, Norway and Sweden.
Defeats against tournament co-hosts Norway (32-26) on Friday and Portugal (27-24) on Sunday mean that Bilal Suman’s team can no longer qualify for the main round from the Group D.
Actually, Norway and Portugal have already booked their place among 12 best teams in Europe, sending Bosnia and six times world and three times European champions France home.
Croatia is the only other team that has already clinched the main round berth. Convincing victories against Montenegro and Belarus have seen Lino Cervar’s men securing the first place in preliminary round Group A and taking over two points to the next phase of the competition.
National handball team of Bosnia and Herzegovina will end their 2020 EHF European Men’s Handball Championship campaign with a match against France on Tuesday at 18:15 hrs.
