According to available information, up to 850,000 overnight stays of tourists in March, April and May have been cancelled because of the coronavirus pandemic, Chairman of the Foreign Trade Chamber of Bosnia and Herzegovina Vjekoslav Vukovic told Banja Luka-based daily newspaper Nezavisne novine.

Vukovic explained that it was still too early to say how much the pandemic would affect the country’s economy, adding that some branches - such as tourism, transport and processing industry - would take the hardest hit.

Chairman of the Foreign Trade Chamber reminded that the Chamber has created the most comprehensive web service for the entire Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Vukovic noted that the number of visits kept going up as people were becoming increasingly interested in relevant decisions of competent bodies in southeastern Europe, the EU and the entire world, related to movement of goods, corridors and restrictions with regards to import and export of certain goods.
