The Association of Film Workers of Bosnia and Herzegovina nominated Jasmila Zbanic’s new film ‘Quo Vadis, Aida’ for the Oscar in category of Best Foreign Language Film.

The film shows the days before and after the fall of UN-protected enclave of Srebrenica in July 1995 through the eyes of Aida, former teacher who works as translator for the UN peacekeeping troops stationed in the town.

The film had its world premiere in the competition program of the Venice Film Festival, was then screened at the Toronto Film Festival and is soon to be distributed to cinemas across Bosnia and Herzegovina.
