Due to the growing number of new COVID-19 cases in Sarajevo Canton, the Cantonal Ministry of Health's Crisis HQ ordered new, stricter prevention measures. One of the measures is obligation to wear face masks outdoors as well. Masks must cover mouth and face of the wearer. Failure to comply with the order or incorrect placement of the masks can result in a fine of up to BAM 500.
Exceptionally, masks can be taken off while riding a bike or a scooter.
Wearing masks in public indoor places is already mandatory.
The Crisis HQ also decided to limit the number of persons who can attend an outdoor event to 60. The number of persons allowed in an indoor space has been reduced to 30.
All institutions and businesses have been ordered to allow flexible working hours when possible, in order to reduce crowding in public transportation.
