The exhibition of 60 selected works from the 'Srebrenica' series by world-famous painter and printmaker Mersad Berber has been opened in the National Gallery in Sarajevo.

The exhibition marks 25th anniversary since the Srebrenica genocide, and it will remain on display until November 25.

Mersad Berber (1940-2012) was one of the most famous and successful painters and printmakers in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Most of his work focused on historical events from the rich history of Bosnia and Herzegovina. His works are in private and public collections that include the Tate Gallery in London.

The series of paintings and prints entitled ‘Srebrenica’ was inspired by the horrible events that took place in Srebrenica in July of 1995.
