A total of 1,544,452 tourists arrived in Bosnia and Herzegovina between January and November 2019, which is 12 percent more than in the first eleven months of 2018.
Bosnia and Herzegovina hosted a total of 3,178,416 overnight stays in all types of accommodation establishments - a 10.7-percent increase compared to 2018 - out of which 72.4 percent were overnight stays of foreign tourists.
According to the Agency for Statistics of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the majority of non-resident tourists in the country were from Croatia (12.2 percent), Serbia (8.2%), Saudi Arabia (6.8%), China and Slovenia (5.2% each), Germany, Italy, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, Poland, and the United States.
When it comes to the average length of stay, tourists from Malta and Kuwait lead the way with 4.7 and 3.4 nights respectively.
92.3 percent of overnight stays were in hotels and similar types of accommodation.
