Kuwait Airways will launch seasonal summer flights between Kuwait City and Sarajevo on June 9.
According to Exyuaviation.com, the service will run until September 12 each Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday with an Airbus A320 aircraft.
It will mark Kuwait Airways’ return to Bosnia and Herzegovina’s capital for the first time since the company maintained seasonal operations to the city in 2013, albeit via Istanbul’s Sabiha Gokcen Airport.
Kuwait Airways will compete directly against FlyBosnia on the route, as the Bosnian airline company plans to run two weekly flights between the two cities this summer.
Meanwhile, Sarajevo Airport handled a record-breaking 58,397 passengers in January - 9.2 percent more than in the same month of 2019 - despite the number of aircraft movements declining by 4.3 percent.
