A total of approximately 38,000 tourists visited Bijeljina area in 2019.

The City of Bijeljina and neighboring settlements hosted a total of 74,000 overnight stays in all types of accommodation establishments, which is 10.6 percent more than in 2018, and generated turnover amounting nearly BAM 100 million.

However, local residents believe that Bijeljina and Semberija region have excellent tourist potentials and resources which have not been exploited enough.

Representatives of the Tourist Association of Bijeljina said that both increase in the number of tourists and revenues in this sector had been recorded over the past ten years or so.

They reminded that the Drina River, geothermal waters and great potentials for religious, hunting and fishing tourism represented the most important natural resources of Bijeljina.

The Tourist Association of Bijeljina is planning to organize a tourism fair in April 2020, in partnership with the Tourist Association of Vojvodina and the Vojvodina Chamber of Commerce, with the goal to establish business contacts and cooperation with tourist associations in the region.
