The Institute for Promotion of Tourism and Protection of Cultural and Historical Heritage ‘Radimlja’ from Stolac presented a new video depicting the stunning natural beauty and unique cultural heritage of the town of Stolac and the surrounding area. Stolac is located in the south-east of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in the east of Herzegovina-Neretva Canton.

Built on the banks of Bregava River, it was an important trading post in the history. Due to the Mediterranean climate and fertile land, the area has been populated since ancient times. Some of the most interesting sites in the area include the Radimlja necropolis with 133 medieval ‘Stecak’ tombstones, Vidoski fortress as well as remains of the Illyrian city of Daorson. The town itself is home to several historical buildings from the Ottoman period.
